Beach day!

This past week I roadtripped out to Wilmington with my best friends (: We got there around 11 and hung out on the beach until about 3:00. Then we wandered around downtown and went to eat at a cute place by the water. Then we got some ice cream and wandered through the cute shops. I even got a pair of really cute shoes for only 15 dollars. It was a great day! I love Wilmington and the beach and my lovely friends.

Sometimes life is just so good (:

Aren't my best friends beautiful??

One Tree Hill

Remember how I called One Tree Hill deep?
Here's a few quotes that I love and live off of.

- Sometimes people put up walls, not to push people away. But to see who cares enough to tear those walls down.
-Perhaps we give all the best of our hearts uncritically to those who hardly think about us in return.
-When you stop fighting, you stop living. So find your fight and fight like hell until that battle is won.
-People are going to disappoint you, I expect that. But what if one day you wake up and realize you are the disappointment?
-You can find the good in anyone if you give them a chance. Benefit of the doubt. Sometimes they can surprise you or disappoint you. But you never really know them until you know their heart.
-Don't be afraid to stumble and fall because most of the time the greatest rewards come from the things that scare you the most. Maybe you'll get what you wished for or more than you could have ever imagined. Who knows where this life will take you.
-Imagine a future moment where all your dreams come true. It's the greatest moment in your life and you get to experience it with one person. Who's standing next to you?
-You told me to fight for you and I did. But you never fought for me.

And of course...
*This one is a shout out to my life right now!*

-If you're always looking for a reason to not be with somebody, then you'll find it. I guess at some point you have to let go of that and give your heart what it deserves.

Happiness in something so small

To be happy is to enjoy the little things around you.

I'm easily pleased and easily entertained. Most people would agree with me on that. Some of the smallest things in life can make me so happy...in no particular order...

1. Hammocks
2. Depth...like how big the sky is or how wide the ocean is
3. The feeling you get when you stretch after a really good sleep
4. Hugs that make you feel little
5. Cuddling
6. Watching Friends (this show just cracks me up. I really want to be like them with friends like them when I'm 30)
7. A genuine smile from someone that's happy to see you
8. Fun socks, especially fuzzy or toe socks
9. One Tree Hill (I just love this show. It's funny and cute but deep all at the same time...perfect)
10. Crazy Bread from Little Caesars
11. How cuddly a teddy bear is
12. When someone can look at me and seem to know exactly what I need at that moment
13. The words I love you (laugh, mhm say it's cheesy. But who doesn't love being told they are loved?? I mean three simple words can just make me smile and make my day. And if you are that special someone saying it, it can make me dance around all goofy)
14. Blogging (It's totally therapeutic)
15. Kindness (nothing bad can come from kindness. Even just simple acts, like a smile or holding open the door)

And of course those are just the little things that can easily be taken for granted. But there's the big ones too. Like family and friends and all the things they do for you, including putting up with you when you can be crazy and out of control or even depressed and a bore to be around.

So many reasons to be happy in this world...sometimes I think people forget that, which is just sad.

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July! It's actually the 6th, but oh well. I'm a slacker. My 4th was pretty uneventful. We cooked out for lunch and I worked from 4:30-9:00. Only a few more days there...thank goodness. Although since I only work like 4 more times, I don't even really work. I just sit there and do whatever I want.
After work I went to watch some fireworks. We sat in a parking lot and tried to see the fireworks from the Coliseum. A cloud and some trees blocked about half the firework show. But as I looked around I saw so many friends and families gathered together, happy. That's what it's really about. The firework show isn't what the holiday is about. It's about family and friends and the freedom we have. And it's nights like that where I just breathe in deeply and love my life.
Last night, Me, Rachel, Ricky and Brandon drove up to Brandon's house and laid down on his roof and watched the stars and lightning. Just driving, jamming to music with the windows down and then laying there in the dark together all quiet with so much sky stretching out in front of us. It was perfect. I'm so grateful for my life. And I love summer (:
