Best Friends

I have the BEST friends! and I'm sooo glad they have become my best friends. Lolo and VA are the sweetest friends. They are so loving and comforting. I seriously don't know what I would have done last night without them. They changed their plans and adopted me for the night because I was kinda a mess. It's amazing how well they can know me. Last night they saved me with ice cream, cuddling, taking pictures, girl talk and watching The Help.

We've already done some pretty fantastic things together and March is going to be the BEST! I can't wait. They have already changed my life for the better and it's neva goin' back! They are beautiful inside AND out! and I'm lucky to have them. I love all our randomness, our cuddling, our laughter, our pictures, our tickle fights and our friendship.

Goodbye

Today I said goodbye to him. I went to the park we always went to and threw away the cup he wrote those three words on. I remembered what happened at each spot and then vowed to let it be the last time I thought about it for more than a few seconds.

Seems like every time I say goodbye to him it rains.

The first time I said goodbye to him was when we both left--me for school, him for the army. We were at our park and it rained.

The last time we said goodbye was at another park. He was going back to training and it was raining.

Today I was at the park without him to say goodbye to what was left of us.

It rained.

On the way home I saw a rainbow. That was always a special thing for us.

Today it felt like it helped complete my goodbye.

So, it's time to move on and not look back.

Valentine's Day

I spent Valentine's Day curled up in bed watching Valentine's Day (love that movie) and it was a wonderful day! Sure I didn't go out with a cute boy and I wasn't told I was beautiful and given a teddy bear. But someone wonderful did leave some roses for the girls at institute. It was super sweet and I thought they were gorgeous! So mystery person, if you are reading this, thank you!

My Mom and I made delicious peanut butter brownies and cut them into the shapes of hearts.

And Fluffy hung around inside to keep me company :)

Overall I'd say it was a good day!

Work has decided to get even more interesting. I now have to wear gold pants and a gold hat. I should have to wear a gold jacket too but thanks to my small size, it's too big and looks like a ridiculous night shirt. Sooo he decided I can just wear the pants (which I have to roll like 3 times around my waist and roll up twice at my feet) To make it even better he calls them the Elvis pants...because they are from an Elvis costume.

You may call me "the King" from now on.

When it gets cold I like to put my hood over my adorable panda beanie (shout out to my sister (the world traveler as stated previously) for making my favorite hat) so that my ears don't get cold...but Ryan told me that I look like I'm about to rob a place...but that I'll look kinda hot while doing it.

80s day!

I had an 80s day with Michelle this past week. Basically we dressed up in our 80s clothes, danced to 80s music and had a photoshoot. Here's some of my favorite pictures from the day.

My sister the world traveler

When I was younger I wanted to be my sister.

And that has not changed.

My dad jokes that we are so alike and yet so different. And I am fine with our differences, except one. That girl travels EVERYWHERE! And I am superrr jealous!

Let's just review real quick: She's been to plenty of fun states in the US. She lived in Newfoundland for a while and frolicked around Ireland and London and all those wonderful places. Then she went to Mexico, Argentina and China with Hailey and nowww they are planning a trip to Europe to see Paris and Italy and possibly go to Germany or Switzerland too. So yeah, I wouldn't mind being my sister.

And let's not forget my friends who are going to be traveling soon. Sarah is doing a semester at OXFORD! lucky duck. and Rachel is going to China for a semester. I want to go somewhere!!
