Weeked In Logan :D

I. love. Logan.
This weekend, Court came to see me. We partied it up in Rexburg and then went to Logan on Friday morning and it was PERFECT. Oh it was just what I needed. These last few weeks have been tough. But being there with those wonderful people that care about me was just what I needed.

Friday:
Roadtrip down to Logan. Stop in Malad to see my Grandma and pose with the airplane that we took pictures with a year ago. See the poles that look like bears hugging. Get to Logan! (First thing we see in Logan is a dog in a car sitting in the back window...looked awkward). Help my brother work but really just sit and talk to him for an hour. Aggie Basketball game with the group plus Rae. Endless wings with Jarom, Kevin, Abby and Rae. We also got free Asphalt Pie...amazing. Stay up late watching Reba with Rae.

Saturday: Run some errands with my brother/visit DJ at the library while driving around in the cart. Jam to music with Jarom on their sweet sound system. Shove our faces at Pizza Pie Cafe, sooo good. Make caramel apples and white chocolate popcorn. Blacklight/Ipad strobe light dance party. Watch Shutter until late.
Sunday: Sing I Am A Child Of God while riding to Stake Conference in the cart. Good talks for Stake Conference. Sit in the cart for a longgg time and almost get hit by 3 cars in the parking lot. Offroad in the cart (awesomee). Listen to the home teachers. Kinda. Sit eating and watching DJ clean. Head back to Rexburg.

They are some of my favorite people. They make me laugh so hard, even just the little things they say. I ended up tweeting a lot of what they said and I think my abs are sore from laughing so hard all weekend. Here's just a highlight of the kind of things they say/do. If you read my twitter, you already read most of these.

-Their neighbor's name is Jason and everytime they see him they say "Jason....Derulo!"

-"Clutching me like a koala bear clutching a banana."-DJ
-"Im making bean dip.. But not seven layers. Just one." -Jarom
-As we were driving to church we pass a girl and Jarom says "That's a pretty skirt."
-"Look! I'm Juno!"-Jarom pushing his stomach out.
-DJ's dancing is awesome.
-"250!"-Pandora "Thats more than 249!"-Jarom
- While the home teachers are over Richard starts smelling his tie, his shirts and the bean bag then says "something smells like wet dog..."
- While sitting in the parking lot and the cars almost hit us Richard says "I feel a little claustrophobic..."
-They decided they needed a 50 year old Mexican woman to replace Jeff. She can clean the house for them. Only problem is that she will sleep on the bunk bed under Jarom...awkward.

So many more...but I can't even explain them all.
Summary:They are awesome and I'm trying to go back soon.

Mmmm drinks

Last night I went shopping with the lovely Megan. I saw some delicious Cherry Coke and Megan, being her usual fantastic self, bought it for me! Whaaat? Yes. And it is delicious and almost reminds me of Cheerwine. Almost.
Then, I saw....EGG NOG! That is right my friends, Egg Nog is already in stores! I about freaked out and of course bought myself some.
I am pretty happy tonight.

Who is the sweetest??

Brandon.
He wins easily.
Today was a lousy day and I was feeling very down in the dumps. I came home to a mailbox full of 5 letters! That's right...F-I-V-E!
They were all numbered and I'm supposed to open one a day for the next five days.
It's like he knows I needed something like that.
What a great way to fix my day <3

Bruises Galore!

Being on blood thinners, they warn you that you will bruise easily. I usually don't bruise so I laughed to myself and thought "suuure"
They. were. not. kidding.
This is my leg.
I have no idea how I got any of these bruises.

My New Friend

My roommate and I are in a constant battle. I go to bed around 4 hours earlier than her and she leaves the room and leaves her desk lamp light on so that when she comes back in she can see. But I can't sleep with the light on. So I turn it off when she leaves the room and she turns it back on when she comes in.
It's quite the battle.
So, this little item is meant to keep your ears warm...I realized it can slide over your eyes easily.
Tonight, I'm going to use it to cover my eyes. Meet my new best friend. Let's see how our friendship goes.
P.S. Today I found a tank top for 3 dollars...AWESOMEEEE <3

Bobbing for Apples

First off, I LOVE FALL! It's amazing. The weather, the scenery, the activities and the holidays! I just love the feel of it. So, it being fall, I figure I should participate in a Fall-ish activity. I went apple picking and then bobbed for apples :) Let me just say, bobbing for apples in a deep sink in a tall counter is reallyy difficult for short people...like me. I failed...so we made apple cider.

Partyin' in the blacklight

Last night I went to my first "college party." It was...interesting.
Blacklight and strobe lights are always cool. Plus they had a never ending bucket of otter pops. Who wouldn't want that?!
It actually turned out to have everything I expected a college party to have.
A gross group of sweaty people in a small space. Loud music. Flashing lights. Screaming. I got hit in the face by some crazy dancer chick. Guys dressed up in spandex black suits. Same scary black suit guys grinding up on you. Exploding something on you to ruin your shirt (in my case it was a red otter pop...luckily I got it out! Aja-1 Otter Pop-0) Creepy guy who seems to be everywhere you are. Impossible to find your other friends. And finally, deciding your bored with that party and leaving.

All in all, I'd say it was a decent night.

My 10 Songs

I read that if you put your Ipod on shuffle, the first 10 songs that come up will describe something about you or mean something to you. I decided to try it...so here's my list and what I think of the song/artist.

1. Recognition by Susie Suh
-She is an amazing artist. Her voice is so unique and relaxing. This song is all about dealing with hard things in life. I love listening to her when I'm sad. She relaxes me and her lyrics are so strong.
2. Talkin' 2 Myself by Eminem ft Kobe
-If you know me at all, you know I LOVE Eminem. I think he is a genius. This song is really sad about how messed up he was feeling. I love Eminem's honesty. And I love listening to him when I'm angry or working out.
3. The Damage In Your Heart by Weezer
-What a great song! Weezer is so much fun. They can go from a random, fun song about a sweater to a meaningful song about letting go of the damage in your heart...which is something I need to be better at. My siblings and I all love Weezer. Great band!
4. Everytime by The Frames
-This is a cover of the Britney Spears song. I only own this version...and it's beautiful. I love his voice. The lyrics are hauntingly honest and open. So true about feeling like you can't go on without having that special someone.
5. Quitter by Carrie Underwood
-This song definitely has meaning for me! First, I love country music. It has such a great feel to it. I used to hate it because my family did (and still does) but it's so great! The morals are usually great about life. And it's just a great happy, homey sound. Carrie Underwood has an amazing voice. I used to quit on boys until I found that one that just won't let me quit.
6. Appreciate by Nick Jonas
-Don't laugh. My music taste is very diverse. And this song is beautiful. It's all about appreciating what you have cause you never know when you'll be gone. After going through my medical issues and my brother's issues, this song really hits home for me. Life is short. Do what you want with it and don't waste your time worrying about the little things that don't matter in the long run. (And yes, I really did meet them. Really cool guys! And super attractive.)
7. I'm In Love With A Girl by Gavin DeGraw
-Very good song! He's an awesome musician. I'm not in love with a girl...but I definitely know the feeling he is talking about. The chorus is perfect and I'd love to think some guy could think that way about me.
8. Misery by Maroon 5
-I've been in love with Adam Levine since 6th grade. Face it, he's just sexy. Period. This song is so true with some relationships. Very complicated. I think we've all been in those kind of situations. This song puts it perfectly into perspective.
9. Between the Lines by Sara Bareilles
-Isn't her voice beautiful? I could listen to her when it's pouring rain or when I'm speeding down a road on a sunny day with the windows down. She's just almost perfect.
10. Can't Stop Partying by Weezer ft Lil Wayne
-Weezer again! But this song definitely has memories. It's the song I chose for my NYC videoblog with Sarah and Rachel. Good times. This song is awesome. Upbeat, happy, witty. Great! And I think it's just awesome that Lil Wayne collaborated with Weezer.

These songs probably wouldn't have been my first choices for meaning something to me...but it was interesting!

Everyday I'm Shuffling

Let me just say, I LOVE this song. First time I ever heard it was with Jonathan Lindsay, jamming in his mini-van with the windows down on the country roads to Brandon's house. Miss that kid <3
I heard it again later with my brother, Kevin. Now, this song is his ringtone and makes me think of him every time.
Brings a smile to my face every time I hear it. Such a good, happy song.

Best line of the song..."running through these hoes like drano."

I want his party rock shoes.

Also...I may have learned the dance they do. And I'm not embarrassed by that fact at all :)

First Snow

The first snow of the season fell yesterday! It only stuck a little bit but it was enough to play in :)
My roommates had never seen snow so we had some fun while it fell.
I'm always amazed by the beauty and calmness of falling snow.
I do miss the warmth of the South though...2 months and I'll be back!

P.S. I'm kinda in love with this photo I took of the umbrella reflection <3
