My 10 Songs

I read that if you put your Ipod on shuffle, the first 10 songs that come up will describe something about you or mean something to you. I decided to try it...so here's my list and what I think of the song/artist.

1. Recognition by Susie Suh
-She is an amazing artist. Her voice is so unique and relaxing. This song is all about dealing with hard things in life. I love listening to her when I'm sad. She relaxes me and her lyrics are so strong.
2. Talkin' 2 Myself by Eminem ft Kobe
-If you know me at all, you know I LOVE Eminem. I think he is a genius. This song is really sad about how messed up he was feeling. I love Eminem's honesty. And I love listening to him when I'm angry or working out.
3. The Damage In Your Heart by Weezer
-What a great song! Weezer is so much fun. They can go from a random, fun song about a sweater to a meaningful song about letting go of the damage in your heart...which is something I need to be better at. My siblings and I all love Weezer. Great band!
4. Everytime by The Frames
-This is a cover of the Britney Spears song. I only own this version...and it's beautiful. I love his voice. The lyrics are hauntingly honest and open. So true about feeling like you can't go on without having that special someone.
5. Quitter by Carrie Underwood
-This song definitely has meaning for me! First, I love country music. It has such a great feel to it. I used to hate it because my family did (and still does) but it's so great! The morals are usually great about life. And it's just a great happy, homey sound. Carrie Underwood has an amazing voice. I used to quit on boys until I found that one that just won't let me quit.
6. Appreciate by Nick Jonas
-Don't laugh. My music taste is very diverse. And this song is beautiful. It's all about appreciating what you have cause you never know when you'll be gone. After going through my medical issues and my brother's issues, this song really hits home for me. Life is short. Do what you want with it and don't waste your time worrying about the little things that don't matter in the long run. (And yes, I really did meet them. Really cool guys! And super attractive.)
7. I'm In Love With A Girl by Gavin DeGraw
-Very good song! He's an awesome musician. I'm not in love with a girl...but I definitely know the feeling he is talking about. The chorus is perfect and I'd love to think some guy could think that way about me.
8. Misery by Maroon 5
-I've been in love with Adam Levine since 6th grade. Face it, he's just sexy. Period. This song is so true with some relationships. Very complicated. I think we've all been in those kind of situations. This song puts it perfectly into perspective.
9. Between the Lines by Sara Bareilles
-Isn't her voice beautiful? I could listen to her when it's pouring rain or when I'm speeding down a road on a sunny day with the windows down. She's just almost perfect.
10. Can't Stop Partying by Weezer ft Lil Wayne
-Weezer again! But this song definitely has memories. It's the song I chose for my NYC videoblog with Sarah and Rachel. Good times. This song is awesome. Upbeat, happy, witty. Great! And I think it's just awesome that Lil Wayne collaborated with Weezer.

These songs probably wouldn't have been my first choices for meaning something to me...but it was interesting!
